Our client’s Mother passed away leaving an Estate worth $900,000.00. She had made a Will some thirty years prior to her death.
The deceased had four children. In her Will she left three of her children an amount of approximately $270,000.00 and our client was left a benefit of just $80,000.00.
Our client was experiencing financial difficulties, living in rental accommodation and owing substantial debts. His siblings were in a much more stable financial position
Through detailed and persuasive correspondence with the Estate’s lawyers, we were able to negotiate a settlement whereby our client was to receive $180,000.00 from his Late Mother’s Estate.
We were able to reach this settlement without the need to file legal proceedings or incur significant legal costs.
We were also able to maintain our client’s relationship with his siblings through amicable negotiations tactic.
