Son Contests the Will of his Mother Who Left Everything to Charity

GMP Contesting a Will Lawyers was contacted by this particular client from Freshwater in early 2015.

On this occasion, the client sought advice on what his rights and entitlements were to make a claim for provision, to contest the Will and what steps needed to be taken to obtain a successful outcome.

GMP Contesting a Will Lawyers, on an obligation free basis, provided our client with advice. Following receipt of this advice, our client instructed GMP to represent his interests with respect to a claim for provision out of his late mother’s estate.

After careful consideration of the Last Will and Testament of our client’s late mother, it was evidence that the estate was to be divided, for the most part, between two well-known charities. Due to confidentiality agreements, we are not in a position to release the details of these charities.

It was extremely unfortunate, in the circumstances, that our client was required to take on legal action as opposed to being able to resolve the matter informally between the parties.

With the help of Contesting a Will Lawyer Garbis Kolokossian of GMP, proceedings were commenced in the Supreme Court of NSW.

In preparing the relevant documentation to file proceedings in the Supreme Court of NSW, a detailed Affidavit was prepared which described our client’s relationship with the deceased.

Even though our client was an adult with a number of assets, GMP Contesting a Will Lawyers vigorously pursued the claim and were able to force the parties to participate at a Mediation conference.

At the Mediation, our client’s position was represented fiercely by Mr Garbis Kolokossian and a Barrister. Our client, in the circumstances, was extremely emotional and relied on the support of the staff, in particular Mr Garbis Kolokossian to proceed.

With the efforts of GMP Contesting a Will Lawyers our client successfully contested the Will of his late mother and was able to achieve a fantastic result of over $500,000.00. Our client said words to the effect of “Without the help of GMP, I would have been lost. Thank you so much for your support and assistance throughout this matter”.

We are very proud of the life changing impacts our services has had on this particular client. To say this client was overwhelmed with joy would be an understatement.

If you have any questions or enquiries regarding how to Contest a Will, Contesting Wills, Wills and Estates, Estate Litigation and/or Family Provisions Claims generally, please do not hesitate to contact the experts at GMP Contesting a Will Lawyers where we will be more than pleased to provide you with an obligation free consultation.

A well-deserved result to a deserving client.
